Goutly (“the app”) is a gout and purine tracker. It is designed to be private by default: your health logs stay on your device. This policy explains what the app does and does not do with your data.
None that identifies you. The developer does not collect your personal health records. Specifically:
When you use the optional barcode food scanner, the barcode you scan is sent to Open Food Facts (openfoodfacts.org), a free public food-product database, solely to look up that product’s name so Goutly can estimate its purine content. Only the barcode is sent — no personal information, and no data about you. Reports purchase and restore requests also communicate with Apple. See Open Food Facts’ own terms and privacy information at https://world.openfoodfacts.org/ .
In versions that include Reports, previews and PDF/CSV files are generated on your device from the date range you select. Temporary export files are removed after the sharing flow releases them. If you choose a sharing destination, the file is provided to that app or service and may leave your device. Copies you save or send are controlled by you and the recipient or service; Goutly cannot delete those copies. Review the report and destination before sharing health information.
The optional one-time Reports unlock uses Apple’s App Store and StoreKit for product pricing, purchase verification and restoring access. Apple processes the payment; the developer does not receive your payment-card details. Goutly does not send the contents of your health logs to Apple as part of a purchase or restore request. App Store transactions are subject to Apple’s terms and privacy policy.
Goutly is an informational tool, not a medical device, and not a substitute for professional medical advice. Purine values are approximate and for awareness only. Goutly does not use Apple HealthKit and does not read or write your Health data.
Goutly is intended for adults managing their own health and is not directed at children. It collects no personal data from anyone.
